Rumble? More like crumble
(October 29, 2007) |
|
Plenty of buttons and responsive in games.
The main problem is that within 2 weeks of using the gamepad the 2 thumb paddles just crumbled so had to use the stumps, until they too crumbled.
Ok, so my thumbs may get sweaty and sweat contains salt but surely this would not cause them to crumble into bits so soon.
I only used the pad now and then (not constant) and did not use too much force but really disappointed that the essential parts should fail in such a short time. |

Awful
(October 07, 2007) |

I bought two of these a few months ago because they were cheap, and I figured that a gamepad couldn't really have anything horribly wrong with it. They've had about as much wear and tear as any gamepad I've ever owned, but unlike other gamepads I've owned, they're both broken. On one, the left analogue stick has disappeared partially back into the casing (meaning it gets stuck at regular intervals, and you can't move it) and on the other, the left stick's top has broken off, leaving the plastic sharp and incredibly uncomfortable to use. Also, the buttons become less responsive the more you press them, and again on both pads the most commonly-used buttons now take more pressing to register. Bear in mind these things have not happened as a result of dropping the pad or anything, they happened during use.
The pad feels cheap when you first start using it, and if it sees a lot of use, it WILL disintegrate pretty quickly. Logic3 have successfully lost a customer, as I wouldn't touch another one of their products with a barge pole after having two gamepads break within a couple of weeks of each other. Leave well alone. |

Poor quality - avoid
(June 17, 2007) |

The vibration feature didn't work out of the box, despite reinstalling the driver twice from disk and then downloading it from the web (XP Pro). Then the L analog joystick broke within 4 hrs of light use (TRA). Very disappointing product - I'm now going to follow my initial instincts and buy a more expensive one! |

Ordered two so that I can play Lego Start Wars II with my 6 year old
(April 05, 2007) |
|
Arrived next day and both worked first time with the generic Windows XP drivers. Using it on a PC to play Lego Start Wars II. PC is a XP P4 HP PC with Direct X 9c. Its a long time since I have played a Computer Game boy have they changed! With two game pads it is a lot easier then trying to share a keyboard with a 6 year old. |

Pretty Good

I like this controller, it's design is a copy of the playstation controllers, which I also like for their ease of use, I can get to every button on the gamepad effortlessly.
I never had any problems with the compatibility of this controller, and it works perfectly even on old Windows 95 games (running on XP). Another bonus of this controller, is no matter how much of a beating it takes, it'll continue you function without a problem. Although, I've never been able to utilize the rumble facility, either few PC games that I own support it, or the controller I got is defective, either way, no big loss.
All in all, a good quality controller, and worth every penny of it's price. |
