Much better than the first one :)

The first full spectrum warrior game was, to me, a bit of a dissapointment. it claimed to be realistic, but your squads often behaved in pretty stupid ways and their accuracy was totally random and the game engine didnt alter it according to range. the second game however, is extremely good. it has all that was good about the first game and has fixed the things that annoyed me and added some other good features. for example, you can now have more than 2 squads under your control, and you can order one squad around while still in control of another, you can split your teams into 2 man "buddy teams," you can control bradley apcs, snipers etc, and you can enter buildings. and: YOU CAN PLAY AS THE BRITISH :D. i was happy about this but they could have done some research into what british soldiers actually look like, and what weapons they use. this inaccuracy i found dissapointing. again the the occaisionally random behavior of your men is still a flaw, but overall it plays very well, and the precision fire feature (you can order your team leader or rifleman to direct his fire at a single enemy using his scope) puts paid to the annoying waiting in the first game when you just had to do nothing while your men blasted at the enemy until they hit them if you couldnt flank. this game is a good buy. however dont fall for the advertised "co-op" mode, you have to have xbox live for this. |
