Time Crisis 2
|
|
|
| Description:
The long-awaited full sequel to one of the original PlayStation's best pure arcade games arrives in the shape of Time Crisis 2, instantly bringing PlayStation 2 gamers an even stronger adrenaline rush of utter gaming heaven. You'll need a lightgun to play it properly--the G-Con 2 is highly recommended--and once you're kitted up you're launched straight into the frenetic action. Complete with a hokum mission about saving the day, the aim is to shoot the bad guys, while leaving the innocent--including your partner--out of the line of fire. There's so much to follow on screen and such addictive gameplay that you simply can't help but have fun. For added enjoyment you can invest in another lightgun and play with a second player, which you'll end up doing until your fingers bleed. Things aren't entirely perfect, of course. Like the first incarnation, the game is quite short, and it won't take too long to get through the handful of levels provided. Furthermore, the one-player game doesn't hold an enormous amount of long-term appeal. Ultimately though, this is one of the best pick-up and play game on the PlayStation 2. No doubt it will be surpassed in due course, but if you enjoy high-quality arcade games, you absolutely need Time Crisis 2. It really is as simple as that. --Simon Brew

This game is really fun but dont even consider getting it without a lightgun. My friend did this and got so bored he gave the game to me. I bought a light gun and it was amazingly fun............until a week later. Now i pretty much know the story mode off by heart and the mini games arent up to much. One good one though are the chrisis missions. They are very fun. Even though i only gave it 3 stars i would still get it beacause its not too expensive. I definetely wouldnt get it at £30+ in shops though. |

The Light gun essential!

I absolutely adore arcade conversions and this was no acception to the others. This was the one that brought down the house. It was stunning, the graphics were severely polished the game play was a lot faster and the action lasted a lifetime. This will always be one of the fav's cause you don't get any better than this light gun game apart from time crisis 3. Best light gun game for a long time. |

Really is it more fun if you have the gun, it might be better if less hasel was involved to get it sorted out. The story line is very basic wich consists of killing the badies. The graffics doesn't do it justice (better in 3rd game out in arcades). I gave 3 stars because its the game of its sort. |

BEST OF THE BEST...

well this games certanly worth its pay for a start, having got this beuty for my birthday little did I know it would be the best I've ever played in my short life. By compairing time crisis II with the arcade original I noticed better graphics were on the ps2's side (shocking huh?). Now about the game, I find it has A LOT to unlock, this game is one of those rare automatically moving character games. There's even a level where you ride in a boat chasing other boats downstream. The generous members of namco even bothered to squeeze in a hide teqnique!! also they've added a 2 player mode (the only bad point of this is the lack of graphics and a minute screen to each play on ). you can also pick up machine guns to use throughout the gameplay but they dont last long. BUY THIS GAME IT MUST BE ADDED TO YOUR COLLECTION.... |

It's OK, but don't lose your mind

Typically of an arcade game that's migrated to the home market it gains something, and loses something. Compared to most 'play station' based games the storyline is a little weak, there's no thinking or strategy involved. The whole game can be over (successfully) in a matter of minutes. That said, as a 'hide behind the coffee table' sort of game it's great. It brings the shoot 'em up factor that I wish other games like Desert Storm et al had. And although a bit one dimensional (you don't actually control movement) in many way more interactive than Desert Storm as the action is in your face, rather than fiddling with which team member, with what weapon, where and when. All in all a very good game (if you can wrestle it away from the kids!) |
