This is a truly amazing game
it is well worth buying. every thing in the game is realistic
like contract talks and exchanging players
realistic prices.

Good but could be better
(July 07, 2008) |

i think the game is a good one
having played previous versions i knew what to expect
the contract negotioation function takes ages to get the ammount you want
the transfer budget isnt rigid enough e,g, £20million its £20,784,129 which ticks me off
i enjoy it and win the cups but i would say more realism in prices
ronaldo at AC isnt worth 13mil
Kewell isnt worth 3
MORE REALISM WOULD BE GRAND |

hardly realistic

To tell the truth ive never played this game . I just found it funny that one reviewer claimed it is the most realistic football manager game yet , then finished his review saying that Arsenal get relegated in the first season . Now i hate Arsenal , but honestly that doesent sound too realistic . Sounds like good graphics , bad game engine and too many gimmicks . Football manager 08 has bad grahics but a good game engine . |

Pretty Good

Fifa manager 08 is the third of it's kind and the best one yet. The best thing about the game is the right's Fifa have which allow them to use player photographs and names in their database. Also them having rights to publish an in-game Sun tabloid is excellent. The 3-d match is brilliant and like watching a real game. There is room for improvement but much better than it's counterparts. |

Best management game yet, simple as
(January 23, 2008) |

fifa manager 08 is, in my opinion the best and most realistic manager game there is around. i'm used to playing football manager but didn't get the recent one simply because they are basically the same game each year just with updated transfers.
Fifa manager 08 gives you so much more. you can manage and play for your team at the same time with the player manager mode, you have a private life in the game where you earn money and spend it on things such as houses and cars etc, and you can learn to play golf and sail to be closer to the club owners. Also you can learn different languages incase you decide to move and manager abroad.
Positives:
1. Player manager mode, play for the club you manage and show the players how it's done
2. Watch your team in the 3d match (unlike football manager which is a lame 2d match with little circles moving around)
3. The youth setup, here you can build youth centres all over the world to boost the future of your club and discover future ronaldinho's.
4. You interact with the players more and tell them what you think of them and whether they deserve a starting 11 place, or if they are impressing you
5. You get lots of job offers from other teams and from national teams if your doing your current job well. (if not you might end up at derby, god forbid)
6. The league's aren't dominated by the so called 'big teams'. it's more open and also anyone can get relegated. (my first season in the premier league and arsenal went down!)
there are many more positive aspects to the game but i've only listed a few.
Slight negative issues:
1. The 3D pitch is graphical like previous fifa's it's not up to date with 08, or as a matter of fact 07 or 06.
I rate this game highly and if you want to challenge yourself as a manager then this is the game for you, a must buy |
