Who Wants to Be a Millionaire - 2nd Edition (PC CD)
|
|
|
| Description:
And so one of the biggest-selling games of recent times returns to our screens, complete with more questions, more improvements and more Chris Tarrant. Yup, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire: 2nd Edition knows it's on to a winning formula, and wisely does little to disrupt it. That's not to say there aren't genuine improvements. For starters, the oft-criticised lethargic pace of the original has been speeded up, and the improved user interface makes the game even simpler to use. Furthermore, there are over 1000 new questions to keep you taxed (although younger players may still be better off opting for its sister title, Who Wants To Be a Millionaire: Junior). But essentially, this is still the same game, with the same flaws and assets of the first: the questions loop around too quickly, for instance. Yet the look and feel of the game still perfectly captures the essence of the TV show... even if they still don't give you any real money at the end of it. Who Wants To Be a Millionaire: 2nd Edition is a reliable, entertaining game, ideal fodder for the family although hardly likely to satiate the appetite of the cutting-edge gamer. If you enjoyed the original though, you'll find that this latest release is money well spent. --Simon Brew

WOW!!!!

After purchasing this game online - the first product I purchased on the internet, I was really surprised. I thoroughly enjoyed the game itself, being so interactive. Chris does more on this game with the contestant and with more questions added, its more difficult to get the same question twice. I would really reccomend this product to over 12's being more educational I believe. A wise buy. |

I though this would be terrible...

And I was wrong! Get a few friends round, a few beers, and... well it's great fun. Why? Because it doesn't try and be too clever, all it tries to do is capture the fun of the show. Many more questions than the (vastly) over-rated original. The only problems are (i) it gets boring on your own and (ii) you never actually win a million! |

I have the First and Second games and they are both really good the bad thing about this game(The 2nd One) is that it only has 1,000 New Questions, they could have put more in but it is more Challenging and has a much improved look. very nice game and well worth getting!! |

This version has definitely been improved from the first release. Most noticeably the different screen layout, and Chris's voice reading out the questions. The only slight problem was that the graphics were slightly disappointing. |

WWTBAM 2nd edition is a great step-up from last year's game, the audience feature has been improved, and now looks more realistic. The questions are completly new, and Chris Tarrant's voice over is more funnier than ever, still the gameplay is basically the same as before, you answer 15 question to get the top prize of a million pounds, if you love the show, you will properly love this game, which is a good improvement, fact remains you may like the same gameplay though. |
