Totally useless for Britain
(September 30, 2008) |

Like other reviewers, I found this product a waste of time. It is largely geared to house design, not gardens, it does not have a plant search facility, none of the plant names are in Latin (which would solve the American nomenclature) and it does not provide sufficient options for basic garden items, eg trellis. Do not waste your money! |

Extremely disappointed

Extremely disappointed, the programme fails miserably to live up to the blurb on the box. I tried to create a 'stunning design' and found the range of options and choices of features so limited that I gave up in the end. The plantfinder database is poor. The programme does not run fully on vista, the help option will not work. I found it does not enable you to create a design as a garden designer would. |

Absolutely useless

Like other reviewers, I have been very disappointed. Another major criticism, you cant put in many garden/house features - a conservatory, pergola, greenhouse, shed; utility area. You cant have a walled garden. In fact you cant do much! |

Very Disappointing

I think I've given this my best shot but it doesn't come up to the mark. Clumsy to use overall. Picking plants takes ages because of the interface; and almost all of the plants I wanted - which are common in the UK - don't appear in the plant selection which is US based. The final crunch was the problem it creates with user accounts. The software won't run in a limited user account but that doesn't stop windows installer trying it's best and slowing everything down to a crawl while it attempts the installation process. I'm told it's a problem with the software and would need a re-write to get round. Not my best purchase. |

Very disappointing

A fairly complex program, and after spending considerable time learning how to draw a garden plan, I am giving up and returning to the free BBC designer on-line. The plants are described in American common names which makes this program difficult to use, and many European plants are not available at all. |
