Good, but could do better
(April 14, 2008) |

This is a superb game but it does have flaws, for me it is not long enough and filled with dodgy controls and graphics. But take that away it is a fantastic game, a beautiful soundtrack to accompany the intense action makes tis game fantastic. However i can not play this game enjoyable anymore because Hitman: Bloodmoney is as at least twenty times better than this but it does not contain features that are easy to use. So all in all i give this 3 stars because i believe the sequels to this game are far superior but not as fun.
Tip: For Xavier Gens you should have made the film about the first game and not try and be arrogant just because you are a fan of the games. I gurantee that anyone who reads this review will be able to direct a better Hitman movie than him. |

VERY FRUSTRATING no saves...crazy

This is a great tactical game but ultimately frustrating, you get so far into a level but cannot save so if all goes pear shaped you have to go back to square one and do it all again, and again, and again...it's infuriating. also there are no difficulty settings. Otherwise this would have been a superb, involving game on a par with Deus ex invisible war [including the cheesy, dated graphics!] I cannot get past the 'Kill Lee Hong level' if you get killed you go back to the beginning but it's not a clean slate...i.e. the guards have been alerted and your cover is blown so it's pointless continuing as there doesn't seem to be a 'stand down' time. Item selection is clumsy and dragging bodies for hiding is a nightmare as you can't see where you are going. Dragging a body through a door is horribly clumsy, especially as you have to open and close the door too. So you just have to exit and start again from scratch. What a waste of a potentially five star ***** game. |

Hitman Codename 47 - Brilliant
(February 04, 2006) |
|
I bought this game a couple of months ago with my boyfriend. We are hooked! It is a fantastic game, and at such a brilliant price. There are seperate gaming levels, adn of course, you have to assassinate somebody in each level. But, there are other tasks to complete along the way, such as setting up car bombs and opening safes etc. Trust me on this one, you will not be disappointed. |

Some bugs, but what a game!

I played this after completing the secquel. Like one would expect they did some mistakes that they corrected in number 2, but there is something missing in the second. I'm not sure how to put it into words. This feels more like you're the hitman. I've got stuck in a wall twize during gameplay, and I don't like the idea of continuing on the mission after you die. You have maybe 5 tries on getting the mission objectives and getting out of there alive. There are no saves, which wont be of much use in this game anyway. Anyway it's cheap, and lots of fun for the money. So if you havent played it and like stealth games, buy it! |
