Not bad at all...
(January 04, 2006) |

...but Call of Duty, especially COD 1, eclipses any other WWII shooter. Like other reviewers, I also suffered bugs that stopped me from running one of the expansion discs but apart from that, if you can pick it up cheaply (and all the discs run for you) it can be a bargain that will amuse for hours (days...Allied Assault on its own is already a very long game). Worth a look, especially for older machines that can't handle the new games, but if you have already played them you might find this is a step back. |

A beast of a game
(August 23, 2005) |

I bought this game having seen the adverts for it on the TV and i have to say it is probably the best game in my collection. I think that the pricing offers great value as you get the original game and all the expansion packs for a very reasonable price. The game is awesome and I was totally absorbed from start to finish. The only problems with the game is how hard it gets towards the end especially the last 3 levels to do with Fort Schmerzen. Not only did I enjoy the game but it also managed to convert both my dad and older brother who were originally not keen on computer games. I would thoroughly reccomend this game to anybody who enjoys action games. |

Bug ridden, avoid like the plague
(July 13, 2005) |

MOHAA is a classic that I already owned and I bought this pack rather than the separate expansion packs as it worked out to be cheaper. MOHAA plays fine, as it always did, but Spearhead crashes frequently and I have had to give up on Breakthrough as it crashes at set points which takes great patience and continuous saving to try to get past. This is after installing the patches and in safe mode. It is very disappointing and frustrating keep having to try to battle past a point where not only do the enemy outnumber you heavily but seeing if you can work out how to avoid doing something that causes the game to crash i.e. don't blow a building up with the tank, just drive past it. Save your money and buy MOHAA separately if possible and avoid the expansion packs as they seem to have been thrown together without much concern about how many bugs they contain. |

Medal of Honor: Warchest
(March 26, 2004) |

For those like myself who did not buy the original Allied Assault, this is the ultimate package. In it you get the original Allied Assault plus the expansion packs of Spearhead and Breakthrough. This is great value and is a must for Medal of Honor fans and first person shooter fans alike. Highly recommended! |
