The Sims: Livin' It Up Expansion Pack (PC CD)
|
|
|
| Description:
Whether you're the occasional Sims player or the die-hard fan that knows after playing it for a hundred hours you are congratulated, The Sims--Livin' It Up expansion pack will rekindle any flame starting to go out for this game. The Sims--Livin' It Up expansion pack has more swings and bells on it than a Christmas tree in a castle, and of course in true "Sims" style all this is possible. Whether or not you choose to be the king of the castle, with your turrets, armoury, banqueting hall and dungeon--skeleton in cage on application--or a hip funky Austin Powers-esque man in your retro 60s psychedelic bachelor pad is up to you. The range of new gadgets and gizmos to play with is just as impressive--and if you are an avid Web fan then you will notice some of the downloads here, especially the gerbil and balloons--but Maxis have realised this and have been busy creating many other features. New career paths with over 50 jobs have now been included. Become a psychic investigator or a musician, a slacker or a journalist and they all come with new toys to play with at home. If this isn't enough, the game also includes new neighbourhoods to try out if you've run out of space in the current one, although the only drawback is that you can't move from neighbourhood to neighbourhood. The Sims--Livin It Up is a great addition to the original, having you completely hooked again in no time, and saving up for those ever elusive expensive items, in this case the automatic robot maid.--Stuart Miles

The best expansion ever?`
(April 16, 2005) |
|
Now, although not an owner of the Sims individually, I bought the deluxe edition, but with a friend buying the original, when I saw the expanded abilities on the Sims, Iwas in deepest sympathy for him. An unmissable offer, this, as you can have a genie, an electronic maid, and covers all the problems (if any) that are in the Sims. 3 words. BUY THIS GAME. |

Really colourful addition
(February 12, 2004) |
|
With the first Sims expansion pack, you get a whole load of new themed objects and furniture so you can completely customise your surroundings to suit your lifestyle. Feel like lording it? Build a huge castle with a moat around it, and be the King or Queen of the castle. Be funky by styling your abode in 60s bold bright colours and swirly patterns, with fake fur, lavalamps and inflatable seating. Yeah baby! Be careful about letting your Sims play with the pet gerbil though, they could catch a nasty cold and sneeze themselves slowly to death. Pretty harrowing for the rest of the family when the ghost of their dearly departed starts howling through the house at night! As well as all the new furniture you also get a choice of several new career options. Your Sim can be a rockstar or a slacker! You can even buy a robotic maid to clean up after you. What a status symbol! |

Come On People, Live It Up!
(November 15, 2003) |

Out of all the Sims Expansion Packs, i have to say that i think this one is probably the best. It not only provides hours and hours more fun, but also the following things: 5 new carrer paths, 15 new skins for your Sims, Loads of different new objects including a robot and a magic lamp and tonnes of new wallpaper, floors, doors and windows.Basically loads of great new stuff to help your Sims achieve lifelong happiness. If you are a die-hard fan of the Sims, or if you are getting bord with it, then you simply MUST buy this expansion because its just great and well worth every penny. |

This fantastic add-on to the original sims game will keep you playing on it till' midnight! In this first expansion pack, you have the ability to spice up your sims lives with a pallet of exciting objects! Potion labs, chrystal balls, and alien invasions, are only some of the thrills that you'll come across whilst playing this game! Give you a house an absurd theme, make a home of the future, a medievil castle, or a tacky loveshack! Get those creative juices flowing with The Sims Livin' it up! |

Not the best.
(June 09, 2003) |

It's not the best Sim expansion pack but having all the new items is amazing however some of the new circumstances in the game eg. Cockroaches and mice are quite revolting and unpleasant. Some of the circumstances have ruined my sims lives! The reason I'm giving the game a rating of three instead of one is because of the brilliant graphics and the thrill of having all the new items including a genie ect. Although I would recommend this game to Sim fans! |
