The Sims: House Party Expansion Pack (PC CD)
| Description:
Toga party, anyone? Now your Sims can do that and more with the House Party Expansion Pack, which makes it easier than ever for characters from The Sims to make friends and quickly rise to the top ranks of their professions. They'll need all that extra money they get from promotions to pay for all the cool goodies included in this expansion. Party themes range from Wild West campfire cookouts to Hawaiian luaus and room-shaking raves, with plenty of objects provided to keep guests entertained.
There's a costume trunk to guarantee everyone will be dressed for the occasion, and it's even possible to hire a caterer to keep the food and drink flowing. If you're really lucky, a famous star may pop in for a guest appearance. Every party is packed with surprises, and the inclusion of extra neighbourhoods ensures there's always a bash to plan. This is one expansion that no fan of The Sims should be without. --T. Byrl Baker

Hi, if you are looking for a great sims game that you wwon't get bored of, consider buying house party. They might be all very similar but the pc version is much better than the playstation and gamecube version in graphics and set out. Build a family, move them in, have an house party with vivsitors and make your house ready for them so they can party in time. Brill1 |

Party
(July 20, 2004) |
As we all know, the Sims is a highly addictive and hugely popular game and has been for the last four or so years. This explains why everyone simultaneously dives on every expansion pack that is released. When House Party came out, I bought it straight away. Now you could throw parties and no longer needed to call up everyone in the neighbourhood individually as when you throw a party, everyone comes!!! As an expansion though, it doesn't come anywhere near the standard of the other expansions. The Sims: Hot Date, On Holiday, Unleashed, Superstar and Making Magic all have new areas you can visit such as the Downtown area (where you can dine at fancy restaurants and dance at nightclubs) and the Vacation Island. House Party doesn't have many other features to add to The Sims. Unless you have enough money to buy the other expansions as well, just leave this one out. It's not that good although the new items are pretty cool (the mechanical bull, the dancing cage). |

Party On
(February 12, 2004) |
Finally! You can invite all of your friends over to your house in one go! Just make sure there's enough food for everyone to be happy (buffet table and hired professional caterer), put some music on (turntables, huge speakers and DJ), and dance (on your colourful lighted dance floor) around the campfire (marshmallows included) in your garden! Make sure you have enough toilets for all your guests though! To help you out, House Party includes some outdoor portaloos that you can place in your garden just for the revellers, and remove when the party is over. No more queueing up for the smallest room in the house! Major innovations include the new kitchen table, which takes up less room that the traditional style, and seats more people around it. It also looks cuter in your country-style gingham kitchen. Great expansion pack - I highly recommend it. |

The Sims With A Few New Items
(December 23, 2003) |
I was a bit disapointed with this add-on pack because it doesnt feel complete. The main difference bewteen this and the other exspansion packs is that 1. The main aim of the game is to throw a cool party, this is pretty easy to do just buy some of the new items, serve food and be in a good mood. Once you've done that you've mastered the house party add on pack there is nothing else to do! 2. The usual 100+ new items which are all linked to throwing a good party If you dont own this add on pack buy the hot date add on pack as its the best add on for the sims Though saying all that the parties are quite fun to hold especially if u buy the mechanical bull! |
