Excellent arcade racer but where's the online racing?

Asphalt's an excellent arcade-style racer (it doesn't even TRY to be realistic) which is a good contrast to the realism of Colin Mcrae, and it looks and sounds wonderful too. Gameloft used an upgraded version of the same 3D engine which got good reviews on Ghost Recon and the graphics are absolutely lovely, PlayStation quality. Look at the screenshot! I've taken off one star though because for some inexplicable reason they've left out N-gage Arena support so you can't race online. This means that once you've beaten the game you've beaten the game. If you want an n-gage arcade racer with online, wait for Glimmerati in May. If you want a realistic racer (also with Arena support), get Colin Mcrae. |
