Was relatively disappointed in this as the gameplay could be a lot better.
Monopoly - I found Monopoly quite confusing in terms of buying and selling properties - the instructions aren't clear and I ended up swapping properties I didn't want to swap in error.
Boggle - this was why I bought this game - loved Boggle as a kid. It's quite good but it has a really annoying menu where it's difficult to select the game you want to play!
Yahtzee - this is great - faithful to the original game with a choice of backgrounds
Battleships - probably the best configured game of the 4 - just a pity it's the most boring game!
Overall it's not bad - if you like the 'real-life' versions then you'll like this. I just think it could've been much netter in terms of both graphics and gameplay.
In my opinion, Scrabble sets the gold standard for this type of DS game and it isn't a patch on that! |

Disappointing

I found these games really disappointing. The graphics for Yahtzee are poor and quite fuzzy and I got so bored with Monopoly going on forever that I gave up. Battleship and Boggle are ok but overall I thought all the games were pretty dull and repetative |

Well, where to start? To start off lets go to
Monopoly: Great graphics, great gameplay and amazing overall, just like the actual game but portable!
Boggle: You get a group of letters and you have to make words out of them, can get quite challenging at times.
Yahtzee: A great version of the game but you can play it on different boards, you get some numbers and have to do specific things to get points, it's really addictive.
Battleships: Just like the game aswell, great animations when you get hit or sunk and on the story mode you can use different boats including sailing boats to pirate ships.
And the best part is that someone else with a ds can download and you can both play a game together without the need for you both to buy it.
Overall an amzing game for an amazing price :-) |

Ideal for the loner!

I always loved these boardgames as a kid, and enjoyed playing them with my husband and daughter at home. But now that I live alone I don't have anyone to play them with, so this compilation has been a boon to me! They are easy to set up and customise (cheat!!!!) and you can save games if they go on too long and come back to them later. I haven't tried the wireless option, and I doubt if I ever will, but for a saddo like me who just likes playing games with little or no pressure, I feel that this game is ideal and well worth the money. |

a let down

All of the four games have been converted fairly well for the DS, however there is a big problem when you come to play them head to head... Only Boggle and Battleships can be played wirelessly between two DS's, for multiplayer Yahtzee or Monoploy it's a matter of handing your DS around. Not much use when you want to play a crafty game at work without your boss knowing! Even worse is the fact that you have to re-start the wireless conection for every game, given that Boggle only last about 3 mins, you spend half the time setting up.
If you want to play these games by yourself then this is probably a good buy, however if you plan to play with others... be prepared for a let down. |
