not bad

i bought this game from a friend. At first it seemed some what lacking in story line. This is the major let down on the game as there isn't much attention to detail in the story. The only clear piece of story is at the beginning when you are told the purpose of your quest. The graphics aren't anything special but they do seem to match up to n64 standards. the battle system is fun. you start in an octagon which have small smaller ones inside. These are around you and your enemys. If u leave the main octagon then you leave the battle. There is quite a large selection of spells to use although only the last seem worthwile because you can normally do more damage with the staff. But when spells like avalanche are learned you suddenly strart using spells more often. access to the spells is quite easy. The music in the game is excellent with loads of quality tunes. overall i found the most annoying thing in the game is that you can save at a tavern then play through the long dungeons for hours (literally) then you suddenly die and have to reload from the tavern. If the dungeons weren't so long then it wouldn't be so bad but some of them can take a good 4 hours on the first time of playing. |
