fun

I'm not a racing games fan, never have been. But every now and then a game comes along like Mario Kart that elevates the genre to a place where anyone can enjoy it simply for the ammount of fun to be had. This is one of those games, the analogue stick on the n64 single handedly makes mincemeat of the control mechanisms on the playstation pad, the ammount of control it gives you has to be experienced. Remains a fast racing game without going to the extremes of the originals in which i often went from wall to wall due to the clumbsy D pad. Highly recommended. |

Owned the game on the Playstation and Playstation 2 in its other various guises. Excellent on those formats, complete rubbish on the N64! My advice is buy a cheap second hand PS1 and get the game on that!! |

Wipeout 64 - should it stay or should it go?
(October 08, 2003) |

So, one of the best Wipeouts of it's time. Wipeout 64. I first bought it to give it a go, but was stunned by it's pick-up-and-playability, and it's great in multiplayer. There are only 7 courses and 5 different cars, but the addictiveness and difficulty ratings will have you gasping for more. So, go on - get it! |
