rainbow six N64
(March 30, 2005) |
|
To play rainbow six you have to understand the concept of the game. Its not simply run in there all guns blazing like on goldeneye, you have to think and plan each careful stage of the mission and how to incapitate each bad guy. One of the people reviewing the game said something on the lines of "you can't pick ammo up from the bad guys!" well if your using a .45 calibre desert eagle and the terrorists are using AK's then how can you take there ammo. The game is realistic and for that reason it might not appeal to certain audiences, i'm a hardcore Goldeneye and Perfect Dark veteran and i still like this game. Thanks for your time. |

A Five-star Sham
(October 23, 2002) |

From the hype and fuss from my peers and from mags, I decided to hire this game. God forgive me, this was one of the worst FPS games I've ever had the displeasure of playing. Where to start? How about the "Advanced AI?" Your 'buddies' (teammates) are roughly smart enough to get lodged behind open doors. No running animations means teammates and hostages simply float along the ground. Also, unforgivably, no-one is able to climb ladders without suffering a fatal dose of vertigo and end up simply dying the second they touch a ladder. The FX are simplistic and the sounds are basic. You cannot even pick up extra ammo from dead enemies. Even Duke Nuken 3D was better than this, since it was much more enjoyable. If you want the perfect way to completely waste your cash, You'll find very few games better suited to the task than this. An embarrasment to the whole FPS genre. |

FOCUS
(May 03, 2002) |

At first this game requires total attention and is quite tricky to get the hang of, but once you get the controls co-ordinated the game starts to become great fun. The realistic graphics are superb and the game can become very addictive, this is a must game if you can get past the initial 'working it out' stage. |
