ECW Anarchy Rulz
|
|
|
| Description:
Extreme Championship Wrestling is to other professional wrestling outfits what gangster rap is to mainstream rap: a much more hard-core permutation. Whereas the WWF and WCW are more like soap operas, ECW features in-your-face, high-impact manoeuvres and, shall we say, more aggressive language. Acclaim made an equity investment in the wrestling series, and Anarchy Rulz, their second PlayStation title in the Extreme series, is fully loaded with plenty of features and gameplay modes. Plus, you will have 34 wrestlers to select from, including Tommy Dreamer and Super Crazy (note the easy-to-remember names!). Of course, knowledge of the franchise helps immensely. ECW includes a Create-a-Wrestler option that lets the would-be manager have fun with creating fighters. You can even put together your own four-person wrestling posse, complete with theme songs, personality clashes and a logo for your group. Anarchy Rulz also comes with the typical wrestling game modes: exhibition, career and tournament. In terms of the action in the ring, this is where Anarchy Rulz shows its true colours. The camera's flutter and movement is very irritating, and the gameplay seems an exact replica of Acclaim's previous WWF titles. The wrestling action relies too much on grappling and not enough on the over-the-top action that the ECW is famous for. There are very few throws and no high-risk leaps or takedowns. Crazed ECW fanatics or wrestling lovers should enjoy this game, while all others might want to pass. --Todd Mowatt

ECW ECW ECW !

I love ecw and I love video games but this game is lame.
The animation is shocking, collision detection is poor and its about as much fun as being hit in the head with a steel chair. |

Norman's Magic Shorts
(January 08, 2002) |
|
This game is just like Norman's Magic Shorts. It seems to be good but really isn't. You can't do moves such as the Van Daminator which are a crucial part of ECW. The graphics are slow and poor. Gameplay is pretty bad too. There are lots of wrestlers but it really isn't that good. |

Extreme Championship Wrestling - Hell Yea !!!
(June 17, 2001) |
|
O.K. let me start of by saying that this is not a kiddies game , it contains VERY strong language and VERY graphic violence (it's ECW , what do you expect ?) . The new charachters are all in there including Rhino , Sandman , Rob Van Dam , Spike , Tanaka and Whipwreck . The entrances and music are still dissopointing but not that noticeable unless you are a die hard ECW fan (Like Me) . They have included an f'n lot of matches in this as well . There is Inferno , DeathMatch , Table Match , Cage and of course the Barbed Wire match . All of these with lots of blood and gore . This game is good if you're looking for a challenge and bored of WWF / WCW . Go buy it if you can handle it......... and if you're old enough !!!!!!!!!! |

Anarchy rulz too much!
(November 26, 2000) |

Masato tanaka, the sandman, rob van dam.... you cant go wrong with the amount of characters you can be! Anarchy rulz also involves two-man comentry by Joul gertner and jouy styles which neaver gets boring! you have new modes as well such as backlot brawls and brimstone matchs (inferno match)the entrances are better than the first ecw game harcore revolution. but the best part of this game is the finishing moves! the gameplay is good also, it wiil keep you going for ages! I can recomend this to a fan of ecw or just a fan of pro-wrestling! |
