Sonic Adventure 2 (Dreamcast)
|
|
|
| Description:
They might not make the consoles anymore, but they sure know how to put together a cracking game. And with Sonic Adventure 2, Sega have concocted the kind of bright, fast-paced arcade game that makes you realise why their infamous blue hedgehog has endured for so long. Wisely rejecting the adventure element of the original Sonic Adventure in favour of a more action-packed game, his latest outing sees Sonic fighting the usual array of evil foes--with the addition of a few new faces. It's all an excuse for zooming through levels, grinding along barriers, skating down hills and collecting lots of rings, of course, with a fearsome selection of baddies to conquer along the way. It's also the kind of game Sega make best--incredibly simple to pick up and play, and yet far more difficult to put down afterwards. Commendably, there's no raft of instructions to wade through--this really is a game you can be playing confidently within minutes of putting it in your Dreamcast. Make no mistake though, the further you get, the greater the challenge becomes--and you won't be completing this one in a night. If you're looking for proof that the Dreamcast is still attracting quality titles, you should be calling Sonic as your first witness. --Simon Brew

Sonic Adventure 2: best ever game!!
(October 08, 2004) |
|
Sonic Adventure 2 is simply the best game ive ever played. the 3d environments challenging bosses and plot twists make this 100 times better than sonic adventure 1. you can now play as sonic tails knuckles and even the dark characters like shadow rouge and dr. eggman. each level has within itself 5 challenges to complete like finish the level with 100 rings ect. the new chao garden is more advanced than before and allows you to interact more with the choas you keep, and with hero and dark chaos the fun gets even better! overall Sonic Adventure 2 is a must for all gamers sonic fans or anybody really wants a good challenge. |

Sonic Adventure 2 - the best game EVER!!!!!
(March 26, 2004) |

This has got to be the best game EVER. More levels than SA1 and cool new characters. You can be a hero, with sonic, tails and Knuckles or join the dark side with newcomers shadow and Rouge and the now playable Dr. Robotnik. This has TONS of replay value with 5 missions per level, great 2 player games plus bonus unlockales including Kart Racing and Hidden characters. If you dont have a dreamcast, buy it for this game! The best sonic game yet! |

Great fun!

Not being a huge fan of computer games (I was given my Dreamcast console by a friend) I expected not to really play it much. Having said all this, after purchasing Sonic Adventure II, I have had to hide the console away!! It's great fun + highly addictive.....there's something really satisfying about doing all the trick moves and stuff! It's a good job not all games are like this, else I'd end up never getting any work done and my other half would probably dump me! |

sonic is a great game, it is quite like sonic adventure 1 but with more levels and u can play as the dark characters(eggman, shadow and rouge). The hero characters u can play as are sonic, knuckles and tails. The chao garden is much more advanced as u can get a light and dark chao garden as well as a chao kindergarten. |

Extremely Dissapointing
(March 22, 2002) |

If you are like me and had fond memories of the superb sonic on the megadrive, where sheer speed and mayhem whizzed you through the levels to face dr robotnik, you will be extremely let down by SA2. Sure the sonic and shadow levels are amazing and provide you with the speed thrill that the original sonic had, but there is just not enough of them. Tails/Robotnik and Rouge/knuckles levels are quite simply boring. Particularly the rouge/knuckles levels I would spend hours wondering around trying to find crystals yawn yawn. Kids will love SA2 just as I loved the original sonic but if you are buying this game for nolstagia then don't. Save those fond memories. |
