Fighting Force 2 (Dreamcast)
|
|
|
| Description:
Similar to Syphon Filter for the PlayStation, Fighting Force 2 puts players in the role of a cyber-enhanced cop of the future that is trained to infiltrate evil research and development facilities, destroy their work, and clear out any and all opposition. Fighting Force 2 has some of the biggest levels around, giving main character Hawk Manson the opportunity to explore multiple floors, smash through walls, and break almost anything in search of keys to new areas. Levels are filled with enemies whom Hawk can defeat with one of 20 weapons including rifles, knives, and sledgehammers. Weapons can be attained through the destruction of cabinets, soda machines, and crates. Originally a PlayStation game, the transition to the Dreamcast hasn't exactly been a smooth one. Frankly, Fighting Force 2 has been transformed from a good game into an average one due to this version's poor player controls. Improved graphics are welcome, but now it's harder to position Hawk for a fight. The PlayStation version is definitely the more desirable of the two. --Robb Guido

A Good Game
(November 27, 2001) |

Fighting Force 2.......This must be the best beat em up because can interact with every thing you can read E-Mails blow up CPU jump into huge crushers. As for the graphics I think they need to be upgraded because they are just like the graphics 6yrs ago. But it's a nice try. You could spend day's on it as it is that good. I guess you should buy it because it is just amazing and when you get to use the cheats you can't save, who's idea was that? You can't even get into vechiles as far as I know... I think that this is way better than the first fighting force was just so boring and so easy to complete even if you put it on hard. What kind of game is so simple to compleate that you can do it on hard without being killed. I think that there should have been a lot more thinking and production of these 2 games just to make them harder. But all in all this game is good, because of the engrosing story line that keeps you hooked from start to finish, it follows the career of a soldier who has been Genetically Modified to survive in any area/tempreature....Cool huh! BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!!!!!! It starts of alright, but then you realise how long the levels are and how you only have one life! When you die you do get to continue, but it puts you way back and it is so frustrating. Then when you are are fighting you keep turning around for no reason and the enemy pounds you. This game is terrible do not buy it!... |

Fighting Farce
(March 09, 2001) |

I got this bundled with my DC, which is just as well as I would never have paid for it! Someone mentioned about the "interactive" scenery. What this essentially amounts to is that "stuff explodes if you hit it enough". Unfortutely this even applies to objects that *shouldn't* explode (like aircon ducting). I played this for about an hour before realising that it was just no fun! I managed to kill every enemy without much of a fight (and I'm not exactly an experienced gamer). I'd recommend avoiding this one. |

Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, You have got to be joking! PSX graphics, guns that sound like they're farting and enemy AI that is totally neanderthal. Everything may be interactive but there is more life in the table legs than the human enemies. Buy the Spectrum version - it looks and plays better! |
