Sabrina Animated: Zapped
| Description:
Sabrina, in characteristic style, has cast a spell that has gone terribly wrong. Welcome to Zapped on Game Boy Color--now you must help her put everything right again. After accidentally turning her audience at a school talent show in to a pack of wild animals, Sabrina must scour the halls and classrooms for her former friends-turned-monsters and change them back to their teenage selves again. Whenever you find such a critter, you must jump on them to stun them, before zapping them with Sabrina magic and turning them back to normal. Once every friend on a level is restored to their former glory, you can move on to the next level and the next set of monsters. Go from school to the beach to the mall to the zoo to make sure you've caught them all. Collect spells to make life easier, health hearts to prolong your lives and power stars to make transforming your friends simpler (you don't have to stun them first). Each level gets progressively more challenging, and on the second level, there's a bonus: one of the monsters is none other than Salem, Sabrina's furry feline friend. Switch between being Sabrina and Salem to get in all the hard-to-reach places. Simple in concept, this game is strangely addictive. The repetitive nature of the tasks sets itself as a challenge, so that you absolutely have to find those monsters before you finish. Youngsters who are just getting the hang of gaming will love Zapped and though the generic nature of the tasks will appeal to both genders, girls might find this a little more appealing than some of the alternatives on the market thanks to Sabrina's presence. Great entertainment and good, clean fun for any age of youngster, (the monsters aren't that scary!) fans of the TV show will love to take this game along in their backpack. --Lucie Naylor

Well, as I'm a grand old 18 years old, perhaps this game isn't quite intended for me. But did that stop me?? HAAA!! As you'd expect, the main character is an animated sabrina. As far as i can make out, sabrina and her sidekick Salem, are running around her school and the beach, finding animals and casting spells to turn them back into her fellow classmates. After every level, you are given a password, but to be honest, i dont think you'd actually notice which level you were on, as they are all really similar. Still, I enjoyed this game a lot. I completed all the levels in about 8 hours, but still, I had fun doing it. This game is really good for the younger audience, definitely. It's certainly not too difficult, so wont cause too many tears. The only downside is that once you've completed it, as the levels are so similar, you dont want to do it again, because you already feel like you know the game inside out!! But still, it's a really good game for the younger ones. Worth the money and entertaining. |
