| Description:
When you think of Sega, three words normally spring to mind: Blue, Spikey and Hedgehog. You've guessed it: Sonic is Back. This time it's with the Sega Dreamcast and in full Technicolor. With a new lease of life, new friends and new baddies, Sonic has certainly got his work cut out for him--in a breezy, buzzing world that shows the transfer of an old game to a new console needn't be limp. Now we are granted shots of Sonic running at high speed, the calming ocean in the background and other graphical niceties. There are times when you have to be precise with the position of Sonic, and after bouncing your way through numerous trampolines this it can be annoying. Still, every time our little friend turns and waves everything just seems all right. This game ranks with other titles in the genre. If you're a Sonic fan, but never got around to getting this title for your collection then it certainly is a must. If however you are a slightly less devoted Sega fan, then perhaps other titles such as Rayman 2 that have moved the genre are most appropriate. This said, a Sega console without Sonic the Hedgehog is like a fish without a bicycle. --Stuart Miles

Best sonic game ever

this is one of those games that just never gets old quite like sonic 2 it has great graphics great controls well its the same old story kinda take eggman down but what makes this game great is how fun it is now id never say this is the greatest game of all time but its easily the game ive had most fun with (and beleive me ive played a lot of games) if you havent got a dreamcast get one simply just to play this game i got this when i was a kid because we didnt have a lot of money this is one out of about 4 games i got for the dc and i didnt complain ounce simply because i just had to come back and play it again know its not as hard as it was when i was a kid it would take me about a week at the max but still get this game and you wont regret that pound you spend god i wish my dc wasnt broken or id play it now. |

This game rocks man. I really aint a fan of sonic heroes n shadow the hedgehog. Those were poor games with poor graphics and perfomance. After I played them two I thought sonic didnt work in 3D and could never match up towards the 4 great games on the mega drive, WERNT I WRONG! Get a dreamcast just 2 play this game! The graphics are good and performance is excellent. Decent story and very fast gameplay. This game so nearly measures up to the oh so great 'Sonic The Hedgehog 2'!!! BUY IT NOW |

As always Sonic The Hedgehog is back to stop Doctor Roboknic from taking over the world, only this time it's with great graphics and gameplay, a team to help him ( 6 playable characters) a large number of great levels, (all creative) and good attacks. You can walk around either the city, the ruins or manage your own virtual pet. The game is brilliant and once you get this one, you'll be hooked onto a long line of buying Sonic The Hedgehog games. |

sonic adventure was probably the best game on Dreamcast & some people still think so,Stepping into the shoes of a hegehog remodled into 3D,you begin your adventure to recover the 7 chaos Emeralds. I became a fan of this game just after they stopped selling Dreamcast products altogether but managed to buy a Dreamcast & copy of the game. The graphics & deatail aren't the heights of say golden sun but overlap PS1's like hellfire! The tunes are fantastic & I'd love to meet the guy who plays the electric gutar like that! The Gameplay is fun & The adventure fields are big but the action stages are like you find in a sci-fi movie with the effects & all! You can choose beetween 6 different characters in which you must unlock. They are Tails,Knuckles,Amy,Big,E-102 & of course Sonic in Which you can be at the start. Theres also super sonic but to be him you've got to beat the game with all the characters first. The objective of the game is to stop Robotniks creation "Chaos" from absorbing all seven Emeralds power & destroying the world. The rate your going to completing the game depends how good you are at gaming. For example My life is basically revolved around Video-games & took me 3 days to complete it,Whereas my friend who usually watches Tv took 3 years to complete it & is still at it!Buy this game now! If you can't get the Dreamcast version get it on Gamecube,Though I havent seen what that versions like though I think it's practically the same except they've called it Sonic adventure DX. YOU WON'T REGRET IT!! |

sonic in 3D

although its not sonics first foray into 3D (sonic world on the saturn-it was a bonus mini game on the sonic collection game cd, and sonic R) its one of sonic's best games. with the megadrive sonics standing out because of there amazingly fast gameplay and richly coloured graphics and good effects, sonics first incarnation into real full 3d is a very good one. sonic's stages are frightenly fast-and also you can play as many other new sonic charecters-as well as the classic charecters of tails and knuckles. this game is a very good platformer, solid, great graphics and good voice actors to make sonic's first words you ever hear him speak actually sound pretty good. all sonic fans should get this, and even if you didnt like sonic, this game should convert you. keep a look out for sonic adventure 2, as its another great sonic game. |
