Official Sega Dreamcast Controller (Dreamcast)
| Description:
The Sega Dreamcast Controller is a must have for the Dreamcast Player--you can't really do much without one--the controller is loosely based on a cross between an N64 and PlayStation controller, offering you more triggers and buttons than ever before. Although you get a single controller with the Dreamcast console, extra controllers will be needed to play most games that require two or more players, and because the Dreamcast has the ability to take four controllers, games like Virtua Tennis and Quake 3can become even better with more players. The Sega Dreamcast Controller, also has two slots for a host of expansion packs, and whether it be for the Visual Memory Unit (VMU)--highly recommended--or the other devices Sega offer is up to you. This all sounds good, unless you are planning to use Dreamarena, for the time taken to scroll the letters and numbers using the controller can be a bit frustrating. Luckily for Sega, they have the Keyboard and Mouse. Making the Controller great for games, but lousy for typing. --Stuart Miles

THE PRICE!!! It's such a great price for such a great peice of equipment. The controller is comfortable and is easy to master. There's not much you can say except the controller has a slot for memory cards etc on it instead of the console. The controller is reliable and can take a lot of punishment. |

Perfection

Let me start by saying this is one of the best controllers ever. It has a great analog stick for 3D games (which could've been better with grip), and the D-pad is ideal for 2D games (Beat em ups being a prime example) which is why so many classics were born on the DC: Street Fighter Alpha3, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Marvel Vs Capcom2 etc. Great feel of the buttons and triggers. I could only think of 2 things that could be improved: an extra trigger in the bottom right and 2 more buttons like the (Xbox controller). All in all I give it 9.5/10. If you find an unopened one snap up the cash. |

a brilliant controller , fits into your hand perfectly , dont try any of the third party ones. This is the best and is worth the extra few quid. The expansion slots on it are genius aswell allowing for a rumble pack or VMU on it. |
