Mario Kart still rules
(June 29, 2008) |

There's not a lot that can be said about this game that hasn't already been said in the myriad of previous reviews.
It's a fabulous game, pure enjoyment throughout - there's nothing new really - it's just an update on mario kart, but why try and fix something that 'ain't broken?!
Online play is tremendous, adds even more longevity to the game.
If you're looking for a fun, easy to play game, look no further than mario kart. |

Controls? No problem!
(June 29, 2008) |

Mario Kart on Wii is a fantastic, addictive and fun game. Your Mii has it's own drivers license and any cups that you win in any of the challenges are displayed here. There are over 30 different tracks to play on and many characters to play with (Luigi, Mario, Donkey Kong, Toad etc.). Mario Kart Wii game comes with a Wii steering wheel. It's helpful to buy another wheel so that the multiplayer is easier. You can play without the wheel but it is harder. There's another thing: the wheel. The wheel is great, easy to use and not too sensitive. Thus, it really is a fantastic game for all the family. The graphics are great for the Wii and the more you play this game, the more you appreciate it. When I open the game I thought... the controls are going to be sensitive or vice-versa. However this is not the case. Need a game to get you truly into the Wii? Mario Kart! |

2 steps forward and 1 step back. Slowly but surely Mario Kart is reaching perfection
(June 15, 2008) |

For over the last decade Mario Kart has stood as the pinnacle of "not so serious" racing fun. As each new installment hit, so did a list of new pro's and con's. As debatable as Which Is The Best? might be, it is safe to say that with the latest Wii edition, Nintendo are definitely on the track to success.
The lack of single battle mode and unfair racing tactics aside, what we are offered is a game with heaps of features and unlockables, an enormous character roster, a good amount of tracks (good and not so good)... and the icing on the already delicious cake, worldwide online support. The online mode is where this game is at, challenge friends or complete strangers from anywhere on the globe. Its a shame there isn't a voice chat option, but this is the closest to perfection Mario Kart has gotten on a console thus far |
