Lots of fun and plenty of mini challenges

Whilst not my daughter's favourite game ever, this is a nicely organised game for girls who love the 12 Dancing princesses story. Much of it is platform based play and has a steady stream of challenges and obstacles to overcome. The characters are all recognisable from the movie and the soundtrack is bearable - just!. We did end up resorting to a cheats webpage after tears and frustration on one level that neither parent or child could work out how to get past it (although I admit I was not trying for that long!) The use of level codes does help you access different points in the game which is handy. The save game points are well thought through - an issue which needs addressing for so many nintendo games.
If you are buying this as a princess/girl's game, check out some of the others on the market as there are cheaper and possibly more entertaining games out there. However, if your child has their heart set on the 12 dancing princesses as a storyline, aged about 5-8, and loves platform styled play, then this is worth considering . |
