Lilo & Stitch: Trouble in Paradise Platinum
|
|
|
| Description:
The buzz is that Lilo & Stitch is the best animated Disney film in years; those hoping for a similar renaissance in Disney video games are going to be disappointed. Disney take the peculiar view that children aren't very good at video games and require specially made games that are as easy and bland as possible; having said that, Trouble in Paradise is a step up from their usual movie tie-ins, and indeed, is a superior game to fellow cash-in Experiment 626 on the PS2. The game is basically a simplified version of the into-the-screen sections from Crash Bandicoot. Taking control, in alternative levels, of Lilo the little girl and Stitch the space fugitive, it's your job to reach the end of each course and... erm... well, what you're doing is never adequately explained by the game, but it's the journey that's important and this generally involves some amiable platform larks and killing small animals so that they turn into either pineapples or coffee mugs (strange but true). It may be stupidly easy but Trouble in Paradise is at least a pretty little beast, with some really quite impressive graphics for the aging PSone. It's still not as good as Crash Bandicoot, but as film tie-ins go there have been a lot worse. --David Jenkins

A little too hard for 3-5 yr olds

Simmilar to Crash bandicoot, though not as good. My 4 year old daughter is brilliant at crash Bandicoot (better than me). But Lilo and Stitch is quite difficult, in my opinion there are too many bosses at the end of each section, which prevents my daughter from moving onto next level. Other than that I don't regret buying it and 'would' certainly recommend it to lovers of Lilo as Stitch, as your get to control them both. |

Great game

Ok, hands down, this is nearly exactly like Crash Bandicoot, so you just have to decide which critter you like best - a little fox or a little alien. Lilo and Stitch: Trouble in Paradise is a colourful and attractive game for the younger members of the family although anyone can play it really (you should have seen my mum try to play it! It was really funny but, then again, she isn't used to the Playstation yet.) The game is quite simple in itself, you have to get to the end of each level, picking up the things you need. You can also get some movie clips if you collect the clipboards on the levels. I advise that you get these since the clips are fab! There's no time limit on this game although it's quite easy to get killed by falling off floating logs or jumping into holes (I'm 16 and I still fall into the water!!!) This can be a bit frustrating although it does make the game more challenging for the older players. The last level is very much like all of the rest of the levels and I was surprised when I finished the game. But when you have finished you can go onto the other levels again to get a better score and pick up the clipboards that you've left behind. Overall Lilo and Stitch: Trouble in Paradise is an ace game. Hope this helped!!! |

A fanastic game for all ages

Ok, hands down, this is a replica of Crash Bandicoot, except this one is Lilo and Stitch style. Lilo and Stitch is attractive for the eye and really good fun to play. The movie clips included in the game (which you can pick up in the levels) are a great feature and the graphics are really good. People of all ages will be able to enjoy playing this game, whether they've sen Lilo and Stitch or not! |
